How flying a Kite Changed my Day

My roommates and I decided we needed to fly kites at least once in our lifetime. And that day was today.  So we packed one water bottle and were off. A 30 minutes bus ride and we reached the beach. We were about to cross the road when both of them wanted to change into their shorts. I, on the other hand, was in a hurry to reach the Sea. I told them to meet me inside.

I left. I walked with a lot of confidence and a little hesitation. Everyone had someone with them on the beach. My only mission was to find a comfortable place to sit down.I made a conscious decision that I wouldn’t remove my phone or anything. Good thing I did, because just 30 meters away from me there was a guy with a guitar, singing songs for a group of foreigners.I looked at them, smiled went back to listening to the waves.

The next thing I know the guitar dude is squatting next to me and asked me whether he could sing a song for me. I was overwhelmed and he smiled asking me which song did I want him to sing. I said your favourite song.

After he finished the song, I was flushed with emotions, because that is the sweetest thing a stranger has done to me.

I INSTANTANEOUSLY removed my phone and called my roommates. “Bro you know what just happened, this guy with a guitar came up to me and sang a song, and  I tried calling you, no one picked up. Come fast’ .” She was like “Oh my god,  I am coming, why do cool things happen to you only”

P.S – And those guitar guys found my roommates and played them a song too. :p

That was one of the best-unexpected things that happened.

SO GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE.

GET OFF YOUR PHONE

LOOK AROUND

SMILE.

AND MAYBE A STRANGER WOULD SING A SONG FOR YOU TOO.

OR MAYBE NOT

OR MAYBE BUY YOU ICE CREAMS

I MEAN THATS COOL TOO.

  1. That must have been an amazing experience! It always feels great when strangers go out of their way to help you out/make your day by a simple gesture! The last time Me and My friends tried to cheer up a l’il girl by making faces, she ended up running scared to her mom 😂 Since then I have resorted to helping strangers by making maps of trek routes 😅 No more worrying about scaring l’il girls unintentionally 😇
